How to cancel your booking

Plans change - we get it. You can cancel your Withlocals booking in just a few steps, and if you're within the free cancellation window, you'll get a full refund.

How to cancel

  1. Log in to your account

Go to withlocals.com and sign in with the email address you used to book.

  2. Go to "My Bookings"

You'll find this in your account menu. It shows all your upcoming and past bookings.

  3. Find the booking you want to cancel

Look for the experience by date or destination. Click on it to open the booking details.

  4. Click "Cancel booking"

You'll see this option on the booking details page. The page will show whether your cancellation qualifies for a full refund based on the cancellation deadline.

  5. Confirm your cancellation

Review the cancellation details and confirm. You'll receive a confirmation email right away.

Good to know

  • Cancel within 24 hours of booking (and the experience is not starting within the next day) and you'll receive a full refund including the 10% service fee.

  • Cancel more than 7 days before the experience (but more than 24 hours after booking) and you'll receive a refund of the experience price, minus the 10% service fee.

  • Cancel less than 7 days before the experience and no refund applies.

  • Same-day bookings (where the experience starts within 24 hours of booking) are not eligible for a refund.

  • For full details, see our cancellation and refund policy.

  • Refunds are processed to your original payment method within 5-10 business days.

Booked through a partner platform?

If you booked through Viator, GetYourGuide, or another partner platform, you'll need to cancel through that platform directly. Withlocals cannot process cancellations or refunds for bookings made elsewhere.

Rather reschedule than cancel?

If your plans have shifted but you'd still love to do the experience, you can change the date instead. Rescheduling is often easier than cancelling and rebooking - and your host will do their best to find a time that works.
