The number of guests on a Withlocals booking is set at checkout. There is no self-serve button to change that number after the booking is made. What you can do depends on whether you want to add people, remove people, or just share the booking with the people who are already coming.
Inviting your friends or family to the booking
If you booked for several people, you can invite the friends or family you're travelling with to join the booking. They get an email invitation and, after linking their Withlocals account, can see the booking details on their own account. This is an invitation only, it does not add or change seats.
To send an invite:
Open your booking from My Bookings.
In the Your group section, enter the email address of the person you want to invite.
Send the invitation.
Adding more guests than you originally booked
The guest count on a confirmed booking cannot be edited, by you or by the host. The way to add people is a separate payment for the extra guests:
Message your host through the in-app chat and ask if they can fit the extra people.
If the host agrees, they send you a personalized offer for the amount due for the additional guests.
You pay the personalized offer. The extra guests are now covered for the same experience.
If the host cannot fit more people, your alternatives are:
Book a second slot of the same experience for the extra people, if availability allows.
Pick a different experience or host for the larger group.
Removing guests from your booking
The guest count on a confirmed booking also cannot be lowered. If your group has shrunk, message your host so they know what to expect on the day. If you want a partial refund for the missing guests, contact Withlocals support; whether this is possible depends on the timing relative to the cancellation and refund policy.
Good to know
Changing your group is separate from changing the date or time. To move the booking, see How to reschedule your booking.
For bookings made through Viator or GetYourGuide, group changes go through the partner platform. See Booking through Viator or GetYourGuide.
