You'll get a full refund
If your host cancels your experience, you'll receive a full refund including the service fee. This happens automatically - you don't need to do anything.
What happens step by step
You'll be notified by email
As soon as your host cancels, you'll receive an email letting you know. The email will include details about what happens next.
We'll look for an alternative
Withlocals will try to find another available host in the same city for your date and preferred experience type. If we find a good match, we'll reach out to you with the option.
If no alternative is available, your refund is processed
If we can't find a suitable replacement, your full refund is processed automatically to your original payment method.
Your refund timeline

Can I rebook?
Yes. If an alternative host is available for your date, we'll reach out with options and you can choose whether to rebook. You're never obligated to accept an alternative - if you'd prefer the refund, that's completely fine.
