Is this message really from Withlocals?

Received an email or message and not sure if it's genuinely from us? Here's how to tell.

How to verify a Withlocals email

Withlocals only sends emails from @withlocals.com addresses. Our official email addresses include:

If the sender's email address doesn't end with @withlocals.com, it's not from us.

Signs of a genuine Withlocals email

  • The sender address ends with @withlocals.com - always check the full email address, not just the display name.

  • It references your booking details - genuine emails will mention your booking number, experience name, or account information.

  • It doesn't ask for sensitive information - we will never ask you for your password, full credit card number, or bank details by email.

What to do if you're not sure

  1. Don't click any links in the suspicious email.

  2. Don't reply or provide any personal information.

  3. Forward the email to [email protected] - our team will verify whether it's genuine and let you know.

Messages from your host

Your host may contact you before your experience - this is completely normal and nothing to worry about. Hosts typically reach out to:

  • Confirm meeting point details

  • Ask about dietary requirements or preferences

  • Share helpful tips for the day

Host messages usually come through the Withlocals platform (you'll get a notification email from @withlocals.com) or via the phone number you provided when booking. If a host contacts you by phone or WhatsApp, they'll typically mention your booking and experience by name.

How to stay safe

  • Never share your password with anyone, including people claiming to be from Withlocals.

  • Don't make payments outside the platform. All legitimate Withlocals payments happen through the website at checkout. If someone asks you to pay by bank transfer, gift card, or any method outside withlocals.com, it's not legitimate.

  • When in doubt, go to the source. Instead of clicking links in an email, open your browser, go directly to withlocals.com, and log in to check your bookings.
