Your review helps future travellers choose the right experience and helps your host know what they're doing well. Leaving one takes just a couple of minutes.
How to submit your review
Check your email
After your experience, you'll receive an email inviting you to leave a review. It usually arrives within a few hours.
Click the link in the email
The email contains a direct link to the review form for your specific experience. Click it to get started.
Rate your experience
Give your experience a rating from 1 to 5 stars. This overall score helps other travellers quickly gauge the quality.
Write about your experience
Share what you enjoyed, what stood out, and any details that would help someone else decide to book. The more specific you are, the more helpful your review will be.
Good to know
You can submit your review after your experience. We recommend leaving your review while the experience is still fresh in your mind.
Once submitted, reviews can't be edited - so take a moment to make sure you're happy with what you've written before you hit submit.
Your review is public and will appear on the experience page, where future travellers can read it.
Your host can also leave a response to your review.
Review guidelines
To keep reviews helpful and fair for everyone, please follow these guidelines:
Be honest and specific. Share what happened during your experience - details about the food, the route, the stories your host shared, or anything that made the experience memorable.
Focus on the experience itself. Rate what your host delivered, not things outside their control (like the weather or city traffic).
Keep it respectful. Personal attacks, discriminatory language, or inappropriate content will be removed.
No promotional content. Reviews should reflect your genuine experience, not promote other services or businesses.
Can't find the review email?
Check your spam or junk folder - the email comes from a @withlocals.com address. If you still can't find it, contact our support team with your booking reference and we'll send a new review link.
