How to find your meeting point
Your meeting point details are confirmed as soon as you book. Here's exactly where to find them and what to do if you need help on the day.
Where to find your meeting point details
Check your booking confirmation email
The email you received after booking includes the meeting point address and often a description of the exact spot (e.g., "in front of the main entrance").
Open "My Bookings" on the website or app
Log in to your Withlocals account and navigate to "My Bookings." Select your upcoming experience to see the full details.
Check the map pin in your booking details
Your booking includes an exact address and a map pin so you can see the location visually and get directions from wherever you are.
What if the meeting point is unclear?
If the address or description doesn't give you enough detail, message your host through the booking. Hosts are happy to help and can:
Share a Google Maps pin with the exact location
Provide walking directions from a nearby landmark
Describe what they look like or what they'll be wearing
Suggest a nearby alternative spot if the original is hard to find
On the day: what if something goes wrong
Running late?
Contact your host directly using the phone number in your booking details. A quick call or message lets your host know you're on the way and helps them adjust if needed.
Can't find your host at the meeting point?
Wait at the meeting point for 10 minutes - Your host may be approaching from a different direction or dealing with a brief delay.
Call your host - Use the phone number in your booking to reach them directly.
Contact Withlocals support - If you can't reach your host after trying, get in touch with our support team and we'll help connect you.
Important: hotel pickup is not standard
Unless the experience description specifically mentions hotel pickup, your experience starts at a public meeting point - not at your accommodation. Always check your booking details for the confirmed location. If you'd prefer pickup from your hotel, message your host to ask if they can accommodate this (some hosts are flexible, but it's not guaranteed).
Tips for a smooth start
Arrive 5 minutes early - It gives you time to get oriented and spot your host.
Save the address offline - Screenshot the map or download the area for offline use in case you lose signal.
Have your host's phone number accessible - Save it to your phone before heading out.
Charge your phone - You'll need it for navigation and to contact your host if needed.
