How it works
You write your content in English. When a guest views your experience or profile in another supported language, Withlocals shows an automatically translated version. The English version is used directly for English-speaking guests.
Machine translation handles most content well. Short, clear sentences translate better than long ones with slang or local references.
What doesn't get translated
Only the fields listed above go through the translation system. Other parts of your profile, like the list of languages you speak or your transportation modes, come from predefined options that are already localised.
If a translation is wrong
If you spot a wrong or awkward translation on your experience or profile, share the language, the field, and the wording you'd prefer, and we'll get it corrected.
