How to reschedule your booking
Need to move your experience to a different date? No problem. You can reschedule by coordinating with your host - here's how.
How to reschedule
Go to "My Bookings"
Log in at withlocals.com and open "My Bookings" from your account menu.
Find the booking you want to change
Click on the experience you'd like to move to a different date.
Contact your host
Use the messaging feature on your booking page to reach out to your host. Let them know your preferred new date and time, or ask what dates they have available.
Your host confirms the new date
Your host will check their availability and let you know if the new date works. If your first choice isn't available, they'll suggest alternatives.
The host updates the booking
Once you've both agreed on a new date, your host will update the booking. You'll receive a confirmation email with the updated details.
Good to know
Rescheduling requires your host's agreement - since hosts manage their own calendars, the new date needs to work for them too.
It's free to reschedule if you do it within the cancellation window (within 24 hours of booking, or more than 7 days before the experience). See our cancellation and refund policy for full details.
If no alternative date works for either of you, you can still cancel your booking under the standard cancellation policy.
Rescheduling doesn't change the price - unless you're moving to a date with different pricing (for example, a different group size option).
Tips for a smooth reschedule
Reach out to your host as early as possible. The sooner you get in touch, the more likely they'll have available slots on the dates you want.
Suggest a few dates rather than just one - this gives your host more flexibility to find a match.
Check the experience page for your host's general availability before proposing dates.
Booked through a partner platform?
If you booked through Viator, GetYourGuide, or another partner, you'll need to manage date changes through that platform. Withlocals cannot reschedule bookings made on partner sites.
