How to delete your account

If you'd like to delete your Withlocals account, we're sorry to see you go. Here's how it works and what to expect.

How to request account deletion

  1. Go to your account page

    Log in at withlocals.com, click your profile picture in the top right corner, and select My account. This takes you to withlocals.com/account.

  2. Start the deletion process

    On your account page, select "Need to delete your account?" and follow the steps.

What happens when your account is deleted

Once we process your request, we'll remove your personal data from our systems. This includes:

  • Your profile information (name, photo, bio)

  • Your booking history

  • Your payment details

Important: account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Once your data is removed, there's no way to recover your account, past bookings, or reviews.

Processing time

Your account will be deleted within 30 days of your request. We'll confirm once the deletion is complete.

What we may keep

In some cases, we're required by law to retain certain records. Anonymized transaction data may be kept for legal and financial obligations - but this data can no longer be linked back to you.

Your rights under GDPR

As outlined in our Privacy Policy, you have the right to:

  • Request erasure of your personal data (the right to be forgotten).

  • Receive a copy of your data in a portable format (data portability).

  • Restrict processing of your personal data.
