How to delete your account

You can ask Withlocals to permanently delete your account from your account page. The deletion is staged: your account is first deactivated, then fully erased after 30 days.

How to start the deletion

  1. Log in to Withlocals.

  2. Open the menu and choose My account.

  3. Scroll to the Need to delete your account? section.

  4. Click Take care of that here. This opens the Delete account page.

  5. Read the information about what will happen.

  6. Tell us briefly why you want to delete your account.

  7. Type the word delete in the confirmation field.

  8. Tick the checkbox to confirm you want to permanently delete your account.

  9. Click Delete account.

What happens after you confirm

  • Within 1 hour, your account is deactivated and you are logged out on all your devices.

  • All your future bookings are cancelled.

  • Any future host payouts are stopped.

  • 30 days after you confirm, all information linked to your account (including bookings, invoices, and chat messages) is permanently deleted.

During those 30 days you can still recover your account by contacting Withlocals support.

Cancel a deletion you started

If you change your mind before the 30 days are up, open the Delete account page again. You'll see a "Your account deletion is in progress" message with a Cancel account deletion button. Click it to stop the deletion.

Good to know

  • Deletion is permanent after 30 days. There's no way to restore your account once that period ends.

  • If you only want to stop receiving marketing emails, use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any marketing email instead. You don't need to delete your account.
