Withlocals adds a service fee to your booking. The fee helps run the platform and fund guest support during your trip. VAT is included in the fee.
Where you see it
The service fee appears as its own line on the checkout page, between the subtotal and the total:

How much it is
The service fee is a percentage of the experience price. The percentage is the same for every guest on a given experience, and the exact amount is always shown before you confirm your booking. There is no separate payment-processing charge on top of this.
Good to know
The total at checkout already includes the service fee. Nothing else is added after that.
If you apply a coupon, the discount is taken off the total that includes the service fee.
Hosts do not receive the service fee. It goes to Withlocals.
