Your host account is linked to one city at a time. If you're moving, we can sometimes switch your account to your new city, but only in specific cases.
When we can move your account
We can switch your city when all of these apply:
The new city is open to new hosts. We only add hosts in cities where we're actively looking for them.
You've lived in the new city for at least 2 years. This is the same requirement as for new host applications.
It's a long-term move. You plan to live there for at least a year. We can't move accounts for temporary stays, such as a few months abroad.
How to ask
Send us a message with the city you want to move to, how long you've lived there and how long you plan to stay. We'll check whether the city is open and get back to you.
If we can't move your account
If the city isn't open to new hosts yet, you can leave your email via Notify me later on the Become a Host page for that city. We'll let you know when applications open.
