Withlocals Originals

A Withlocals Originals experience is designed by the Withlocals team and can be offered by several local hosts in the same city. It has one title, description, itinerary, meeting point, set of photos, and price, and each host offers that same experience independently.

Each booking is with one host

A Withlocals Originals experience is offered by more than one host, but every booking is always with a single host. A guest opens the experience, sees the locals who offer it, and chooses the one they want to book with. You are never co-hosting a single booking together with another local. The "multi-host" label you may see only means the same experience is available from more than one host, not that one booking is run by several hosts at once.

The experience itself stays private: each booking is just the host and their own guests.

How guests choose a host

On withlocals.com, a Withlocals Originals experience shows the locals who offer it so the guest can pick the one they like. On the experience page, a "Choose your local" section introduces each host, and the guest checks that host's availability and books with them.

How it appears in your dashboard

On the experience detail page in your host dashboard, the Basics tab has an Other locals section showing the other hosts who offer the same experience, with the message "These are your fellow hosts who are offering this experience."

What you can and can't change

Because a Withlocals Originals experience is designed by the Withlocals team, its title, description, itinerary, meeting point, photos, and price come from Withlocals, not from individual hosts, so you can't edit them from your host dashboard.

What you can do on the experience detail page:

  • Read and add notes in the Notes from the community section on the Manage tab, to share tips, questions, or local updates with the other hosts who offer the experience.

  • Use Leave experience on the Manage tab if you no longer want to offer it.

  • Set a per-experience book-ahead exception if you need more notice than your default.

Your own availability stays fully under your control: you manage it through your agenda and your book-ahead time.

Your own host offers are different

Experiences you create yourself through the offer form are attached to you only. They are not Withlocals Originals, and you don't share the listing with other locals.

Good to know

  • An experience can be a Withlocals Originals experience even if you're currently the only local offering it. More hosts can be added later.

  • Leaving a Withlocals Originals experience only removes you from it. The other locals keep offering it.

  • You can offer both Withlocals Originals and your own host offers at the same time.
