Withlocals is a platform where locals host experiences for travellers visiting their city. As a host, you receive bookings through the platform, lead experiences for guests, and get paid out for the bookings you complete.
What you do as a host
You host experiences that guests book through the Withlocals website or app. Each experience has a title, description, itinerary, and price. Guests browse experiences by city and pick a date, time, and host.
What the platform does for you
Withlocals handles the parts around the experience:
Bookings from guests land in your host dashboard
Payments are taken from guests at booking and paid out to you through Stripe Connect
Identity verification runs through Stripe so you and your guests can trust each other
Invoicing details are captured so you receive invoices for your earnings
Training is available through the host learning center and a training webinar
Where you work on the platform
You apply through the Become a Host site for the city where you want to host. Once approved, you finish onboarding by completing your profile, verification, finance, and training steps. After onboarding, you manage your bookings and calendar in the host dashboard.
Good to know
You can only apply in cities where Withlocals is currently accepting new hosts.
There is no fee to apply. Withlocals earns through commission on completed bookings.
Payouts go through Stripe Connect, which you set up during onboarding.
