Who can become a host?
Withlocals hosts are passionate locals who know their city inside out and love sharing it with travellers. You don't need a tour guide licence or years of experience - what matters most is your local knowledge, enthusiasm, and personality.
To be a great fit, you should have:
Local knowledge - You know the hidden gems, the best food spots, or the stories behind your city's streets.
Reliable availability - You can commit to a regular schedule and show up for your bookings.
Good communication skills - You're comfortable chatting with guests from around the world and responding to messages promptly.
A passion for hosting - You genuinely enjoy meeting new people and creating memorable experiences.

Fill in the application form
Tell us about yourself, your city, and the kind of experiences you'd love to offer. This is your chance to show us what makes you unique.
Our team reviews your application
We carefully review every application to make sure it's a good fit for our community. This typically takes 2-4 weeks, though it may take longer if we are not actively recruiting in your city.
If approved, complete onboarding
You'll receive an email with next steps, including our onboarding process to help you succeed as a host.
Create your first experience and go live
Build your experience listing, set your availability, and start welcoming travellers.
After you're accepted
Once your application is approved, there are a few things to complete before you can start hosting:
Complete the onboarding course - Learn how the platform works, how to create a great experience, and what travellers expect.
Set up your Stripe account - This is how you'll receive your payouts. We'll guide you through the setup during onboarding.
Create your experience listing - Write a compelling description, set your price, choose your meeting point, and add photos that show off what makes your experience special.
